Karis is turning 6 today!! She has had a great weekend. It started Friday at school when we brought her strawberry cupcakes and the whole class sang to her. Then that night she lost her first tooth! She was in bed and she told me she was worried she'd lose it during the night so she prayed about it and then reached in to feel it and out it came! Love that!
Yesterday she had a small celebration with friends. To simplify life we are doing smaller parties this year and just taking the Birthday girl somewhere with 1 friend. Well, Karis had a list of friends she wanted to take but I had her narrow it down to 2 little girls she's spent a ton of time playing with. We went to Bounce and then to Red Robin. She had so much fun. At Red Robin she was standing by the table leading the girls in cheers. I was a little embarrassed and told her to sit down but the tables next to us kept saying how cute she was and to let her continue.
Today we are going to church and then to a Pumpkin Patch to get Pumpkins to bring home and carve. Earlier this week she said she couldn't wait until Sunday because it was church day and she loves to worship. ☺ I reminded her it was also her Birthday to which she responded with her animated face and voice, "It is?!" Even though we'd been talking about it for weeks. Silly girl!

I missed another birthday! Tell K that the Whitakers wish her a very, very happy birthday. Miss you all! And I want to see pics of her in her new princess dress.
