It's Official!!

Today we went to court and officially adopted Alex into our family!! We thought it wouldn't be complete until the end of the year but our attorney called last week and told us he couldn't believe it but we had a date! And guess what...it is 2 years to the day we received our proposal for Alex!! How cool is that?!

Court was so formal....a little nerve-wracking but went well. Each of the girls had to state their first and last name...and they each did! My friend Melinda and her adoorable baby Lucas came and helped keep them quiet and passed out fruit snacks. The judge had a lot of questions for us but she was satisfied with our answers and approved. We found out afterwards that some of these adoptions aren't getting approved right away so we were really relieved ours did. This is just so unprecedented I think that not all judges know what to do. I'm glad I didn't know that before though...I would have been even more nervous! WE are soooo, soo grateful to have him officially a Hoefer now!! Thank you Jesus!!!
