Baker In Training

Alex got his first cookie-baking lesson while everyone else was at school yesterday morning. He did awesome and was so focused. He loved the process and loved doing the dishes even more. What an amazing little boy we have. We are seeing his personality come out more and more. He can be so wild, hilarious, and silly. He can also lose it really fast especially if something isn't going his way. He'll close his eyes and start swaying back and forth and fall to the floor sobbing. Tears pouring out. It would be sad if it wasn't so funny. He gets over it quickly though with hugs and lovin'.

He and Avery are so cute...they definitely have each other's backs when it comes to issues with the "big girls". LOVING our family dynamics with 4 kids and with having a BOY. So fun. People still tell us what wonderful people we are for rescuing Alex. We were the ones who were rescued let me tell you. The blessing is all ours.....Being wonderful has nothing to do with it anymore than birthing children is considered wonderful. He's our boy and we love him more than anything. It is so obvious that God planned him to be a Hoefer and we couldn't be happier!!!

Beautifully written. I have tears in my eyes. God is so wonderful the way He works and blesses. I miss you. I LOVED our conversation last week w/ Melinda. You made my day! :) Love you so much, even though we are miles apart.

Oh good, you've got him baking. Perhaps we can have a little cooking school this summer!

I'm catching up on your blog, Abby. This one did make tears in my eyes, too.
